{Perfection} ... Layout share

Happy Sunday!!  It's a very lazy Sunday afternoon here in my corner of the world and I quickly wanted to share my entry for the White ... with 1 challenge blog.  Here is a look at the mood board and sketch.  You do not have to use the sketch, but I did, I just changed the rotation ...

And my take on the challenge ...

Okay, if I am being honest here I have to confess that I really struggled with this challenge.  Why?  I have no idea ... I love blue, but for me this one was hard!  I used a mix of Kaisercraft and Maja Design papers, some circle dies, ScrapFX title and Kaisercraft embellishments.

How adorable is that little face!  She is now 2 years and 8 months old ... and has all the tricks of the terrible two stage ... :-) ... But this title was perfect for this photo!  Looking into her eyes I am reminded that she is perfection!

Wishing you a happy, fun Sunday!

Happiness is being a Noenie - Layout share

I quickly wanted to share a layout.  This one is all about our grand-babies!  If you've seeing my work, you will know that they are most often the subject of my layouts and projects.  And why not ... they are just SO ADORABLE ... and they truly have my heart!  My DH recently bought me a selfie stick ... these photos is the result of me and the grandies trying out the selfie stick ... too funny I tell you!!

Products:  Simple Stories We Are Family kit, Silhouette, border punches, WRMK tab punch board
I used a Silhouette cutting file but changed it up a bit.  The original says "Happiness is being a Grandma", but our babies calls me Noenie, so I changed it to stay true to who we are.  I love that it give it same originality.  I used a Pagemaps sketch an stuck pretty closely to it.  Here's a look at the sketch ...

And a closer look at some of the details ...

These cute little Polaroid frames was cut with my Silhouette ... I simply adore them!

I created a flap under the main photo to add some more of these cute photos.

Hope you all are having a fab week!

Sweet memories with you!

Today I scrapped because I was feeling blue!  My niece, Celeste, is getting married in one weeks time and unfortunately I can't attend her wedding.  Today is also her kitchen tea party ... which I can also not attend :-( ... therefor I scrapped!  Good therapy.

I was lucky enough to go along with her and my oldest sister, Lynette, when they purchased the material for her wedding dress.  My very talented sister has made the dress and shared with me a photo from the final fitting which took place on Thursday ... I feel so honored that they shared this special moment with me.  And that is what I scrapped today ... In some way it made me feel part of the event ... without being there.  I am sharing photos here with Celeste's permission, but I am not showing the dress ... I will update the post after February 18th ... :-)

Here is what I created ...

Products:  Heartfelt Creations Raindrops on Roses collection, oval die and Botanical roses die, lace, doilie, Prima and Petaloo flowers, Prima pearls
And the full version of this layout ...

And here are some photos of the wedding ...

Here is a closer look at some of the details ...

How cute is this doily dress??  I found a quick tutorial on Gabrielle Pollacco's blog and knew this would be perfect on this layout ... so, so cute!!  The oval at the back of the dress form is from Heartfelt Creations ... it is BEAUTIFUL!!

I will update this post next week after the couple said there "I do's" ... Have a great weekend!!

I am so excited to share this layout with you!!  I have to say that the Kraft+ challenges really pushes me out of my comfort zone.  I am trying different techniques, and I am finally using products in my stash in new ways!  This is always a good thing!  But back to the Kraft+ challenge ... Let's take a look at the gorgeous mood board they have up for the Coastal chic challenge!

They are mixing it up this month!  The criteria is to use kraft + the sketch + the colors.  You can add black and white as well, and it doesn't has to be a beach related layout.

My heart is happy to share my take on this challenge with you ...

Product:  Kraft cardstock, Bo Bunny Felicity pattern paper and Pearlescents, Prima stamps & flowers, Fabscraps chipboard, Leave and corner punches, Faber Castell gelatos, Heartfelt Creation leave dies.

I first heat embossed the chipboard with clear embossing powder, then I added pearlescents to it ... I am loving the end result!

Now I am off the clean my studio ... wish me luck!!

He's all Boy! - Stuck Sketches

I am happy to share with you my take on the February 1st sketch challenge at Stuck?! Sketches.  Except for the splatters (oh why did I do that!!!!) I am so, so happy with this one!  I tried some new techniques and tried a different style than what I normally do, but I am very  happy with the end result!  Let's take a look at the sketch as well as what I created ...

Products:  Simple Stories So Rad collection, edge punch, WRMK twine, Faber Castell gelatos

I hand-stitched the triangle and then painted them with gelatos mixed with a little bit of water, just to add some more color to the page.

I layered different border punched edges over each other for added interest.

All the details are on the Stuck?! blog, if you want to play along!
