A Layout inspired by ...

Good Morning Scrappy Friends!!  Today I want to share a layout I scrap-lifted from someone who's work I have been admiring for a very long time.  I recently found this layout on her blog and love her clever design and use of the collections die cut's and noteworthy pieces.  I love the Juliet Collection from Bo Bunny, but found it hard to work with what I wanted to do with it.  Then I saw how  Nicole used the extra pieces on this layout I wanted to re-create her design.

Here is a look at my layout and I will also share Nicole's page with you!

This photo of my husband and baby Kate simply melts my heart.  Looking at my husband in this photo is makes me love him more for the love and tenderness he shows for our grandees!  He definitely is a keeper ... :-)!!

Like I said before, the paper and embellishments are from the Juliet Collection by Bo Bunny.  What caught my eye was the clever use of the noteworthy and die cut pieces from this collection.  I would never in a thousand years have though to use it this way!  I changed the back ground paper and changed some of the element pieces, but stuck pretty much to Nicole's design.

And here is a look at Nicoles original design ...

Gorgeous page, Nicole ... and thank you for the inspiration!!

Thanks for stopping by friends ... see you soon!!

Happiness is Handmade - Layout share

Me again ... :-).  I can't believe it's my 3rd blog post for this week ... Must be a new record for me!!

I wanted to share with you a layout I have been working on for TWO DAYS!! But I have to say I had so much fun creating this page.  Lately I am very into creating pages with interactive elements, and this one is no different!  On this one I have a mini album as well as tags with pockets.

I have a confession to make ... I am in love with the new Bo Bunny Soiree Collection ... It is
G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!!!  I love the softness and vintage feel of the paper and embellishment.  I created this page for my daughter.  This is from a photo shoot I did with her  little family a few days after her daughter was born.  Such a  precious memory for me.  Here is a closer look at all the yummy details.  First up a look at the little mini album.

The mini album was cut from a Lori Whitlock Sihouette file and cut with my Cameo.

And some more details ...

I would love the hear your thoughts on this one?!?

March sketch reveal @ Feeling Sketchy

Good Morning ... and welcome to March!  I quickly want to share my latest card created with the newest Feeling Sketchy sketch.

To create this card I used paper, die cut and embellishments from a Kaisercraft Secret Garden collection. Instead of creating 3 images, I combined them into one focal point.  I created layers underneath my focal point using white cardstock and patterned paper with a border punch.  I love the effect.

If you would like to play along .. all details are available on the Feeling Sketchy blog.

Looking forward seeing what you create with the sketch.

Overview of February Projects

Happy Hump-day!!!  I realized that I was very quite during February and thought I would catch up by sharing all my projects in one post!  WARNING - Lots of photos coming up!

Project 1:  First up is my projects for Let's Scrap ...

Here is my take on sketch 2-15-16.  For this one I used Kaisercraft paper and embellishments.  Photos are from my sons matric exams.  I created a pocket on the left hand side of the page, and this holds a copy of his matric results as well of the newspaper clipping with his name on.

Here is a look at the sketch I used.

And some details on the page ...

Project 2:  Card created for Feeling Sketchy ...

I really love how this card turned out.  The colours are really so warm and inviting!  Paper and embellishments mostly from Kaisercraft.

And again, here is the sketch I played with.

Project 3:   Another layout.  This one was just for fun and I used a Susan Stringfellow sketch for this one.  Paper and some embellishments again from Kaisercraft - Botanical collection.   I added some Prima mecanical embellishment and burlap flowers.  Title cut with my Silhouette.  I wasn't sure about this layout at the start, but I really love, love, love the end result.  And the experience??  MAGICAL!!!

Here is a closer look at the details ...

Project 4;  My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in December.  Here is a layout celebrating this milestone in our life.  Paper and embellishments from Prima's Vintage Emporium collection.

This layout was inspired by a layout I found on the Bo Bunny site.  Unfortunately I am not sure who the original designer was.  Here is a closer look at the page ...

Project 5:  This layout was created with the newest Let's Scrap Sketch.  More photos from our 25th wedding anniversary photo shoot.  Paper and embellishments from Kaisercrafts Treasured Moments collection.  A perfect match for my photos ... :-)!!

Here is the layout and Let's Scrap sketch ...

I created a little mini-book on the left hand side of the page .. Here is a closer look at it ..

And some more detail ...

Let's see if I can do more projects in March!

Wishing you all a wonderful week!
