A Let's Scrap Layout to share!

It's been AGES since I played along with the Let's Scrap gals, but I finally created some a layout with the wonderful sketches they have!  Let's take a quick look . . .

Sketch 5-12-12 . . . Budding Photographer!  These pics of Llewellyn are super cute and just had to be scrapped!  Then I found a lost packet of Simple Stories 24/7 papers and it was a match made in heaven :-)!!

I really love how this one turned out . . . definitely a FAVE for me!

Soon the National Scrapbook Day challenges will start at Let's Scrap.  I will post all the details soon.  They plan a month long event with challenges and tutorials.  I am so excited to be hosting a challenge as well.  I cant' wait!!  Details to follow soon!

A card for Dad - FabScraps

Good Morning!  As promised I am back to share another project using the new Gentleman's Club collection from FabScraps.  This time it's a card for my DH.  Our children asked if I could help (as in:  I did all the work!!) them make a card for his birthday.  Here is what we came up with:

Here is what you will need to create this . . .

You will need:
C66 004
C66 007
DC66 004
DC66 015
Brown Cardstock
Needle and twine
Embossing Powder
Border Punch

Instructions:
Using the brown cardstock, cut the base of your card at 9” x 12”.  Score at 6” and fold.
Using a border punch, punch the edge of the card.
Cut C66 007 to 8.75” x 4.75”.  Distress and ink the edges and glue down.
Stitch around the edge of the card with an accent color.
Using the title chipboard piece, cut “DAD” from it, and emboss/paint/ink.
Cut the left edge of DC66 015 to give you a straight line.  Emboss/paint/ ink the hot air balloon.

Cut 5 x banners from paper and adhere to your layout.

We would love to see your Gentleman's Club projects!!  Please share them with us on the FabScraps Facebook page!

Have a GREAT day!!

Heaps of fun - Layout Share

Good Morning!!  Here is the Western Cape it is a beautiful fall day . . . all blue sky and no wind.  We are planning to go to the beach a little bit later, and of course Noenie plans to take a million photos of Llewellyn!
I quickly want to share a Webster Pages layout I played with last night!  Monday grandpa was tending to the garden, and Llewellyn was there "assisting"!!  Noenie took some photos of him playing in the raked leaves.

Heaps of Fun
For this fun layout I chose the Family Traditions collection from Websters Pages.  This collection is perfect for family and fall pics!  I also used a sketch from Susan Stringfellow that I found on the SketchSavvy block.  I stuck pretty close to the sketch with only adding a few more details.  Here is the sketch . . .

Here is a closer look at the details . . .

Tomorrow is the start of Easter.  If you are travelling, please do so safely!  And enjoy this special time with you loved ones.   Let's remember what we are celebrating!

It's a GIRL!! - Simple Stories layout

This is the very first layout of many, many to follow!!  My daughter and son-in-law just found out that we will be blessed with a brand-new grand daughter in August!  All of us are just so excited!  Monique went for a scan today and her doctor confirmed that it is a little girl.  The have already decided on a name . . . Kate Marlien Boucher.  And of course Noenie had to scrap the first "photo" of this new blessing!

It's A Girl
I used the Vintage Bliss collection from Simple Stories for this layout, together with Sketchabilities sketch #112.  I love that I now can create girly-girl layouts using lots of pink . . . :-)!

This will the the first of many to follow!  The heart around the photo was a cut out from Grandpa's laser machine, and I've added lots of butterflies for her daddy!

And I have added journaling to the back of the page.

Thanks for stopping by my little blog!  Wishing you a FAB week ahead!
