New FabScaps Collection & Layout!!

Happy Wednesday!!  In the Western Cape, it is a cold and WET morning . . . and I love it!!  I had some studio time yesterday and I played with the new Gentleman's Club collection from FabScraps.  I have to say, this is such a wonderful masculine range to work with!  One chipboard piece immidiately grabbed my attention, and I just knew what I wanted to do with it . . .

Man About Town
Here are a how-to to create this layout:

You will need:
2 x C66 003
1 x C66 004
DC66 005
DC66 014
1 x Blue Cardstock
1 x Red Cardstock
Texture Paste
Photo Corners

Use 1 x C66 003 as the base of your layout.
Cut C66 004 to 11.5” x 11.5”.  Distress and ink your edges.  Glue down on your base.
Cut second C66 003 down to 11.25” x 11.25”.  Distress and ink your edges.  Cut a 7” circle from the centre.
Use the cut-out circle and cut this down to 6”.  Distress and ink the edges.
Glue down the 6” circle into the space of the 7” circle.
Using a stencil and texture paste, create designs on your page as desired.  Let it dry completely.
While waiting for the texture paste to dry, mat your photos on the blue and red cardstock and paint the chipboard pieces as desired.
Cut 5 banners in different widths.
Glue down the matted photos.
Tuck a small piece of burlap underneath your title before gluing it down.
Add the bicycle chipboard, overlapping your photos.
Add the banners and circle accents punched from paper.

Add brads.

Here are a few photos showing some of the details . . .

Banners cut from different pattern papers, with brads and mist . . .

I first painted the chipboard and then covert it with glossy accent . . .

We would love to hear your thoughts on this collection!

Wishing you all a happy, crafting day!!
