Down By The Seaside - FabScraps Layout

Happy Tuesday!!  I have a FabScraps layout created with the gorgeous Beachcomber collection to share with you today!  With Monique & Llewellyn visiting, I am taking a million photos of our little cutie-patootie grandson!  On Saturday we took them to the beach, and Llewellyn simply LOVES the water!  It was so much fun (and lots of running after him) to watch his little face while he enjoyed the water.  Here is what I created using these pics and the Beachcomber collection with  a "how to"  . . .

DOWN BY THE SEASIDE

You will need:
2 x Craft Cardstock
2 x C64 007
1 x C64 004
1 x C64 006
1 x C64 007
1 x DC64 004
1 x DC64 009
ST64 001 – “Life at the Beach”, “Starfishes” x 2
ME 64 001A – “Houses” die-cuts, “Beach”, “Just another day in Paradise”
DC64 014 – Scuba gear and fins
Stamps
Embossing powder/Paint/Ink
Chalk
Twine
Toothpicks x 2
Border Punch
6 x Frames from FabScraps chipboard

Instructions:
Use Craft cardstock as the base of your layout.
Cut C64 003 down to 11” x 11.5”.  Distress and ink the edges.
Cut 2 strips from C64 006 and border punch one edge of each strip.
Glue down punched strips app. .25” from the left and right edges of your base.
Glue down C64 003 as shown in layout.
Emboss/paint/ink your title, the scuba gear & fins, as well as the 6 x frames from the chipboard.
Using DC64 009 (houses chipboard), ink and then layer with the houses die-cuts.  Ink and distress the edges.
Randomly stamp around your background pages.
Glue down the completed houses chipboard on the lower right-hand side.
Using 2 toothpicks, create flags using the “Beach” sign from the die-cut set, as well as a banner, cut-out from patterned paper.
From C64 007 & C64 004 cut 2 x photomats from each – one slightly bigger than the other.
Position and layer first your photomats, photos and lastly, the frames over your photos.
Add the title, scuba gear chipboard.
Mat “Just another day in paradise” onto a piece of C64 007.  Add to your layout.

Add 4 x banners cut from patterned paper onto you layout.

Here are a few close-up's . . .

I used brown and blue embossing powder and heat-embossed the chipboard for my title.

Hope you find some creative time today . . . If you do . . . enjoy creating something beautiful! xxx
