Yes, this weeks sketch is up at Let's Scrap . . . and it's a gorgeous sketch with heaps of possibilities!!! I had such a fun time creating with this sketch! So without any further addo . . . here's the sketch!

Since I'm still working on all the adventures we had in Korea, this one is when we visited the Ice Gallery in October! We really had so much fun . . . unfortunately the photos I have of the sculptures are such a funny colour that they really doesn't print well so I don't thin I will be able to make a layout from inside the Gallery.

Paper from Basic Greys Marjolan Line
Circles cut with Cricut and Mini Monogram cartidge & the use of SCAL
Flowers from Basic Grey
Alphas from Jillibean Soup

This week has been such a busy week for me! I was able to do some scrapping which I will share with you later . . . have to wait for reveal days!

Club Got Sketch Layouts

I discovered this sketch class by Valerie Salmon through a scrappy friend of mine's blog. I haven't done an online class before and at first I wasn't sure how it work, how much time will be involved and how fast the pace of the class would be. After checking out all the detail on Valerie's block I decided to JUST DO IT! . . . and I'm so glad I took the plunge and just did it! I had so much fun, and learned even more on how to use only paper for great embellishments!! Valerie added quite a few "extras" to the class which really was so helpful! Since I joint the class late, I still have 2 sketches to complete but I would like the share the ones I've already done!

Bonus Sketch: Valerie was so kind to give us this bonus sketch to get us in a scrappy mood! Here is my creation.

I'm truly starting to love these "girly" layouts of mine with lots of layering and embellishments! It's not normally my style, but every once in a while I just like to do one!

Sketch 1: Valerie add a tutorial on these gorgeous paper rosettes that was really quick & easy to make . . . Aren't they simply gorgeous!!!

Sketch 2: Still working on this 2-pager!! Watch this space . . .

Sketch 3: This was a really fun sketch for me! I did some long forgotten pics of Ruan and I really love the end result!

Sketch 4: Such a versatile sketch and one I see myself using many more times. It seems perfect for these pics of me and my friend Ilonka playing in the snow!

Sketch 5: Great for different size pictures!

Sketch 6: I made this a 2 page layout by making a mirror image of the sketch! I think it turned out very well!!!

Sketch 7: The second double page sketch that Valerie gave us had space for 11 pics!! I love to use many photos . . . a winner in my books!!! The circle border on the bottom is such a fun & easy way to create a stunning border!

Sketch 8: Valerie did this very elegant layout with beautiful photos of her daughter which inspired me to use these picture of Monique which was taken in 2009 and never scrapped! I used the new Gabrielle paper collection from Bo Bunny and it's beautiful!!!

Remember by clicking on the picture you can make them bigger to see the detail! Thanks for stopping by!!

Another Let's Scrap NSD challenge layout!!

I have one more Let's Scrap NSD challenge to share with you today! I haven't scrapped in the last to days . . . I'm too excited about my hubby who's returning home after a 6 week business trip!!! This year has really been tough on us with him being away for such long periods!

Okay, onto the challenge:

CHALLENGE #11 is a sketch challenge and here is the sketch & a look at my layout!

LOVE this sketch!!!! I simply adore this picture of the two of us!! It was taken at Applebees where we went to dinner, and Ruan gave me this big bear hug . . . I love it when my almost 16 year old son do things like this in public!! It really is something to cherish!!

I used the last of my Mama Razi papers from Bo Bunny! I still had a ton of the chipboard pieces left ~ hence the layering!

I need to get working on the NSD challenges . . . It feels like the month is running out fast!!!

Toworrow I want to share the layouts I did for Valerie Salmon's Got Sketch class! Like I say in yesterdays post it was the first online class I did . . . And it was FUN!!

See you soon!!!

It's NSD month @ Let's Scrap!!

Okay, so most of you know that Let's Scrap is celebrating NSD throught the month of May! We've asked some of our members to come up with challenges . . . and boy, did they deliver!! I want to share some of the layouts I've made thus far for the challenges! Here we go . . .

NSD CHALLENGE #2 BY RACHELLE - For this challenge we had to scrap about time and also use the word "TIME" in your title. Rachelle give us some wonderful examples to work from. I recently discovered some of Ruan's birth pictures on my laptop, which was a HUGE surprise to me, since most of my childrens baby and toddler pictures are in South Africa. This made me very nostalgic and after reading Rachelle's challenge I knew what I wanted to do!!

Paper ~ Bo Bunny's Timepiece collection (LOVE this range!!!)

This layout came together very quickly and I couldn't be happier with the end result! Here are a few close-up shots of some of the detail!

NSD CHALLENGE #4 BY BETTY ~ Scrap a layout without any pictures! This was something I had to think about . . . I don't think I've ever scrapped a layout without a photo! For a long time I've wanted to scrap my favorite scripture to use as a decoration on my scrap rooms wall (not that I have a scrap room!!!) and this challenge was perfect to do just that!

Paper - Girls Paperie
Punch - Martha Stewart
Bling - The Paper Company

I love how the banner turned out on this layout!!!

This is it for now!! I'll be back with some more Let's Scrap NSD challenges! I also want to share the layouts I did for the very talented Valerie Salmon's sketch classes! This was the first online class I took and I had a blast . . . I will do it again in a heartbeat!! Until then . . . have a fantabulous weekend!!!

This weeks Let's Scrap sketch!

This is the first week for the new DT gals reveal at Let's Scrap!! Here is the fun sketch from Cheri that we had to work with.

I wanted to do something girly with lots of embellishment to play with and I decided on Monique's Valentine Banquet pics . . . I knew I could get away with doing a girly layout with those photo's!!!

Here is my layout with some of the details hightlighted.

Cardstock ~ Bazzill
Pattern Paper ~ Echo Park
Punch ~ Easy Cut Craft
Die cut elements - Echo Park & SEI

I really love Echo Park paper packs. The colours & patterns are always so versatile & easy to work with and the element sticker sheets are full of yummy goodies that makes any page pop!

Hope to see your creation in the gallery soon!

Happy scrappin'!!
